BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla organized a cyber security awareness lecture at Government Degree College, Boniyar, to sensitize students and staff about online safety and emerging cyber threats, particularly in the rapidly evolving era of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The session focused on cyber frauds, phishing, digital arrests, dark web, identity theft, digital footprints, online privacy, responsible social media use and AI-enabled cyber threats. Students were also encouraged to use ChatGPT and other AI tools positively and responsibly for learning, skill development and exploring new ideas, while verifying information and maintaining digital ethics.
The students were motivated to adopt safe and responsible digital practices and use technology as a tool for education, self-development and becoming informed and digitally responsible citizens. Police reiterated its commitment to strengthening cyber awareness among youth and urged students to remain alert, informed and responsible in the digital space.
