BARAMULLA: In its continued drive against drug trafficking, police have arrested ad drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance recovered. A police party during naka checking on NHW near Eco Park arrested one drug peddler identified as Arshid Ahmed Sheikh son of Mohd Maqbool Sheikh resident of Fatehgrah. During his personal search, 135.5 grams of charas-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case has been registered vide FIR No. 03/2026 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Sheeri and investigation has been taken up. Police remains committed to taking strict action against those involved in drug peddling and appeals to the public for cooperation in ensuring a drug-free society.
