JAMMU: A thought-provoking programme on the theme “NEP 2020 se  Viksit Bharat 2047” was successfully organized by ABRSM at the Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from academicians, professors ,teachers  and education stakeholders, reflecting a shared commitment to understanding and advancing the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.Gulshan Raina( State Gen.Secretary)  welcome invited dignitaries in the programme with enthusiasm.

In the programme  chief spokesperson  Prof. Narayan  Lal Gupta( National President ABRSM)aimed to highlight how NEP 2020 serves as a foundational framework for building an inclusive, innovative, and globally competitive education system, aligned with India’s long-term goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Adaptability to change is key concept in NEP-2020 and is the architect of Viksit Bharat  by2047.He also reiterated the importance of Indian knowledge system.

He also emphasized the policy’s focus on holistic education, multidisciplinary learning, critical thinking, skill development, and the integration of Indian knowledge systems with modern pedagogy. However,  Chief Guest   of the programme Sh V.S Sahay( Director IIM JAMMU)elaborated on key aspects of NEP 2020, including curricular flexibility, promotion of research and innovation, use of technology in education, teacher empowerment, and strengthening of higher education institutions.He focused on the effective implementation of NEP-2020 on ground level. The discussions highlighted how these reforms can nurture skilled, ethical, and socially responsible citizens capable of contributing to India’s economic growth and social progress.

All invited dignitaries in the programme, sharing perspectives on how NEP 2020 can reshape learning experiences and open new opportunities for creativity, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning. The interactive sessions encouraged dialogue on implementation strategies and the collective responsibility of institutions, educators, and learners in realizing the policy’s objectives.

The programme concluded with a strong message that achieving the vision of a Developed India by 2047 requires sustained efforts, collaboration, and a future-ready education system. ABRSM was lauded for organizing the event and providing a meaningful platform for discussion and awareness on NEP 2020. Overall, the programme served as an important step toward fostering informed discourse and reinforcing the pivotal role of education in shaping India’s developmental journey over the next two decades.
