JAMMU: The Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation (SGWF) marked Green Karwa Chauth by promoting environmental responsibility through their ongoing 'Adopt a Tree' campaign. As part of this initiative, participating women were gifted fruit-bearing trees, reinforcing the importance of merging cultural traditions with the message of environmental conservation.
Dr. Sonia Verma, Director/CEO of SGWF, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the importance of celebrating green festivals. She highlighted how aligning traditional celebrations like Karwa Chauth with environmental action encourages sustainable practices.
