UDHAMPUR: To spread awareness about the significance of National Voters’ Day and encourage greater voter participation, an awareness rally was today flagged off by Additional District Development Commissioner Udhampur Rajinder Singh.  Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr Gurvinderjeet Singh, Chief Planning Officer Mohd Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, Incharge Deputy District Election Officer, Dr Malvika and other officers and staff members of DC office besides students of educational institutions participated in the rally.

The rally aimed to sensitize citizens about their voting rights and responsibilities. The rally commenced from the District Administrative Complex and passed through the Slathia Chowk, Court Road,  Ramnagar Chowk, Gole Market, Bus Stand and culminated at Mini Stadium Udhampur. Participants carried banners, placards and slogans promoting voter awareness and the importance of informed and ethical voting. The ADDC emphasized the pivotal role of voters in shaping the future of the nation. He urged everyone, especially the youth and first-time voters, to actively participate in the electoral process and contribute to the success of democracy.
