• Takes stock of arrangements  for observance of Shab-i-Mehraj (SAW)

KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Athar Aamir Khan today visited Shrine of Mir Syed Ali Hussain Simnani RA, at Kulgam and took stock of arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of celebrations of Shab-e-Meraj. During his visit, the DC also interacted with management committee members of the shrine and enquired about the facilities available for devotees here.

The Assistant Director, CA&PD was directed to make available essential commodities in all the food stores, ensuing quality of all essentials in the market during festival days. The DC also directed the KPDCL, PHE authorities to ensure smooth power and water supply to the Shrine and other mosques where large gatherings of devotees are expected.

He also instructed the Municipal authorities to continue sanitation in and around the Shrine to keep the area clean and to lift the snow from Ziyarat road to ensure smooth movement of devotees. Accompanying the DC were ACR  Mushtaq Ahmad, Executive Engineers from Jal Shakti and KPDCL, EO MC Kulgam and other officers.
