SHOPIAN: The District Cooperative Development Committee (DCDC) meeting was today held at Mini Secretariat, Shopian under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar in order to approve the calendar of activities for International Year of Cooperatives-2025 (IYC-2025) & to review the ongoing infrastructure works. During the meeting, Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Shopian presented the overall scenario of the cooperative sector in the district with particular focus on ongoing infrastructure development works of Super Bazar at Shopian & Keller.

It was  given that diverse activities shall be undertaken to celebrate the year, including awareness & training camps in collaboration with agriculture allied departments, inauguration of superbazars at Shopian and Keller, micro food processing units at CMS Kachdoora and PACs Rahmoo among others. The DC Shopian directed for expediting the development works of Superbazars at Shopian and Keller and instructed on strengthening the cooperative sector in the district by involving the local communities in diverse economic activities. The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone, officers of RDD, Cooperative & J&K Bank, NABARD, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Health and other concerned departments.
