The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

RAMBAN: Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated with deep religious fervor and festive spirit across Ramban district, as communities gathered to mark the auspicious occasion with devotion and unity. The largest congregations were witnessed at Jamia Masjid Sharif Ramban, Eidgahs in Banihal, Gool and Batote, where hundreds of devotees offered Namaz-e-Eid and prayed for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the Union Territory and the Nation.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, extended warm Eid greetings to the people, highlighting that such sacred occasions reinforce the spirit of unity, communal harmony and brotherhood in society. Senior officers from the civil and police administration also conveyed their best wishes to the Muslim community on this holy day.

Senior officials were present at major congregational sites to participate in the celebrations and oversee the peaceful conduct of the festival. The District and Police Administration had made elaborate arrangements, including adequate security and essential amenities to ensure smooth and safe observance of Eid-ul-Adha. Besides Ramban town, Eid prayers were also offered at various mosques and Eidgahs in surrounding areas such as Jamia Masjid Maitra, Karol, Chandrog, Upper Ramban, Banihal, Sangaldan, Ramsoo, Ukhral, Batote, Gool and Rajgrah.
