The event drew a significant number of aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly from Degwar Panchayat, showcasing the region’s enthusiasm for economic self-reliance.

The Mela served as a platform to disseminate information and operational guidelines about the components of the Mission YUVA schemes tailored to inspire and equip young individuals with entrepreneurial skills. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, lending gravitas to the event. His presence underscored the administration’s commitment to promote entrepreneurship as a catalyst for economic growth. The program saw active participation from the members of the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) and Business Help Desks including the Chief Agriculture Officer, Nodal Officer JKEDI, IPO DIC and LDM, besides other district officers, reinforcing the collaborative effort to uplift the youth.

The highlight of the Mela was the departmental stalls showcasing   schemes and initiatives designed to support budding entrepreneurs. The participating youth get deep insights into the government-backed opportunities, sparking interest and dialogue.

The event also celebrated the success stories of entrepreneurs who got support from NRLM (UMEED) and the PMEGP scheme. They shared their journey, inspiring the attendees with their achievement. A dedicated help desk facilitated on-spot registrations under the YUVA scheme. The overwhelming turnout reflected the urgency and aspiration among the youth to seize these opportunities.
