JAMMU: The saga of supreme sacrifice by ‘Chaar Sahibzade’ signifies the firm commitment, sacrifice, and courage of children dedicated to upholding justice, righteousness, and values. The example they set at a tender age will continue to inspire generations for centuries, said Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Secretary, J&K BJP. Dr. Pardeep Mahotra was addressing a programme to remember the supreme sacrifice by the ‘Chaar Sahibzade’ at Janipur.

Senior BJP leader Parduman Singh, Ex Councillors Surinder Sharma & Sunita Gupta, Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, district Vice-President Ajay Manhas, Sangeeta Verma General Secretary Janipur Mandal, Subhash Babbar, President, Arya Samaj Mandir, Janipur and others also addressed the programme. While addressing the gathering, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, said that the elder sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji, Sahibzada Ajit Singh and Sahibzada Jujhar Singh martyred in the Battle of Chamkaur, fought against the Mughal forces led by Wazir Khan.

Sahibzada Zorawar Singh, aged 9, and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, aged 6, along with Mata Gujri were captured by the Mughal army. They refused to renounce their faith despite severe torture and hardships. Wazir Khan ordered to brick them alive. They accepted the brutal sentence with a firm spirit. He said that such an act of bravery at such a tender age remains unparalleled in world history.

Parduman Singh said that PM Modi chose 26 December to celebrate Veer Baal Diwas to carry the inspiring tale of Sahibzade to the society and particularly the younger generations to make them embrace the spirit of righteousness, commitment and courage to uphold their values. Surinder Sharma shared threadbare details on the circumstances in which the ‘Chaar Sahibzade’ got martyred. He said that inspired by their story, the future generations will get inspired to stand up against the wrongs.

Sunita Gupta said that the devotion of ‘Chaar Sahibzade’ to their faith, even at such a young age, remains an inspiring and revered chapter in Sikh history, inspiring countless individuals. Ajay Manhas stressed the need to hold such programmes frequently. Subhash Babbar asked all the participants to imbibe the spirit of commitment to their faith. Raveesh Mengi thanked all the dignitaries and the management of Arya Samaj Mandir for their active participation in the programme. Sangeeta Verma conducted the programme proceedings.
