KATHUA: MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia, today participated in the ongoing Shri Radha Krishna Murti Pranapratishtha Ceremony at Tandyari, Chhann Rodian in District Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. The five-day religious event, being held from April 20 to 24, has drawn large gatherings of devotees and dignitaries, reflecting the deep spiritual ethos of the region.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of several eminent personalities, including Honâble MLA Narendra Annasaheb Patil, who holds Minister-level status in Maharashtra as Chairman of the Annasaheb Patil Financial Corporation. The event has been supported by Dogra Samaj Trust, Mumbai, along with various social and cultural organizations.
On the occasion, Rajiv Jasrotia paid obeisance and emphasized that such temple ceremonies play a vital role in reconnecting society with the timeless values of Sanatan Dharma. He stated that temples are not merely places of worship but centres of culture, faith, and social harmony, which bind communities together across generations. He appreciated the collective efforts of the organizers and local residents for successfully conducting the programme with devotion and discipline.
Highlighting the significance of Murti Pranapratishtha, Jasrotia noted that consecration ceremonies revive ancient traditions and strengthen spiritual consciousness among the people, especially the younger generation. He added that in todayâs fast-changing world, such religious gatherings serve as a reminder of Indiaâs rich cultural heritage and enduring philosophical roots.The programme also witnessed participation from Neeti Dogra, Advisor J&K Dogra Samaj Trust, Mumbai, along with other prominent personalities including Gulshan Sharma, Vice President Mathadi Workers Junior (Patpedhi), Vikram Sharma, and Krishna Pandit, President Dogra Samaj Trust, Mumbai.
As part of the schedule, a Shobha Yatra was taken out on April 20 from Chhann Rodian to Airkhan, witnessing enthusiastic participation from devotees. Evening satsangs held on April 22 and 23 further enriched the spiritual atmosphere with devotional songs and religious discourses.The Pranapratishtha ceremony, marking the consecration of the idols of Lord Radha and Lord Krishna, continues to attract devotees in large numbers. The event stands as a symbol of faith, unity, and cultural revival, reaffirming the enduring connection between temples and the foundational values of Sanatan Dharma.
