KULGAM: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam under the chairmanship of Pr. District & Sessions Judge/ Chairman DLSA) Kulgam, Aijaz Ahmad Khan today held its first Under Trial Review Committee (UTRC) meeting today in District Court Kulgam. The meeting headed by Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kulgam as Chairman of the Committee, was attended by Secretary, DLSA Kulgam, Mehreen Mushtaq; Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Bashir Ahmed Wani, Additional Superintendent of Police Kulgam, Tanweer Ahmed, Superintendent of District Jail Anantnag, Mushtaq Ahmed Malla, Incharge Subsidiary Jail Anantnag, Rafiq Ahmed Shah, Public Prosecutor, Deputy LADCs and Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsel.
Chairman of the committee stressed that through initiatives like UTRC meetings, DLSA strives to address the challenges faced by the under trial inmates and work towards achieving a more effective and expedited legal system. The meeting concluded with commitment to ensuring the administration of justice in a fair and efficient manner.
