NEW DELHI: Prof. Usha Nair, Vice-Chancellor of National Sports University (NSU), Imphal, Manipur, has joined the Governing Council of the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS) as a member.
The Executive Council of the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS) has extended an invitation to Prof. Usha S. Nair to join the Governing Council of CNMS. In response to the invitation, Prof. Usha S. Nair has graciously accepted the offer. In an official email, the Vice-Chancellor’s office stated, “It is a privilege and honor to be a member of the Governing Council of CNMS. I accept to be a member of the Governing Council of CNMS.”
Prof. Usha S. Nair, the Vice-Chancellor of National Sports University, Imphal, Manipur is a distinguished academician with over three decades of experience in physical education and sports science. She has mentored numerous researchers, contributed extensively to national and international publications, and played a key role in shaping sports education policies in India. She is a recipient of multiple accolades, and has represented India in global academic forums and led significant research projects on sports science, physical fitness, and athlete development.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of Centre for Narendra Modi Studies, welcomed this development, emphasizing that Prof. Usha Nair's guidance will be instrumental in driving the Centre’s objectives forward. “We are honored to have Prof. Usha Nair as part of our Governing Council. His wealth of experience and academic vision will undoubtedly guide the CNMS in advancing its mission,” he stated.
The Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS) also signed an MoU with National Sports University in February 2025 to promote research in sports education. CNMS also formed a research committee, where legendary athlete and President Indian Olympics Association and MP Rajya Sabha Smt P.T. Usha is a member, who brings her expertise in sports development.
