BUDGAM: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Budgam today conducted an online meeting on Mediation 2.0 with the learned Chairpersons of Taluka Legal Services Committees (TLSCs) of District Budgam. The meeting was attended by the staff of DLSA and TLSCs, along with Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of DLSA Budgam and respective TLSCs.
The meeting was chaired by Tabassum Qadir Parray, Secretary, DLSA Budgam, and focused on strengthening mediation mechanisms, promoting amicable settlement of disputes, and ensuring effective implementation of the Mediation for the Nation 2.0 initiative.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that mediation is a time-saving and flexible dispute resolution mechanism. Keeping in view the pendency of cases, mediation can play a vital role in the effective disposal of disputes. All trained mediators were directed to put in their best efforts to make the mediation process more effective.
Judicial officers of district Budgam were also directed to identify and refer the maximum number of suitable cases for mediation and actively coordinate to ensure the success of the campaign.
The meeting was attended by Shafeeq Ahmed Malik, Sub Judge (Chairperson TLSC Chadoora); Aiman Amin, Munsiff/JMIC (Chairperson TLSC Chari-i-Shareef); Rabyia Snober Gulzar, Munsiff/JMIC (Chairperson TLSC Magam), and Towfeel Ahmad Mir, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate (Chairperson TLSC Beerwah).
