JAMMU: SS Trust Sikanderpur, in collaboration with All J&K Satsang Societies, all branches of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabhas, and the management committee of Dera Swami Jagat Giri Ji, celebrated the birthday of Sri Sri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj with great religious fervour and devotion at Sukhsagar Bhawan, Sikanderpur, Jammu. Thousands of devotees from Pathankot, Himachal Pradesh, and the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory participated in the grand spiritual gathering.
Sri Sri 108 Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj delivered spiritual sermons and blessed the devotees. Swami Ji asked the devotees to follow the teachings of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj such as regarding the unity of Samaj.
Guru ji said, â Sadh Sangat Mil Rahiye Madho Jaise Madhup Makhiraâ that is, we should live like the life of honey bees. Regarding Education, Guru ji said, âMadho Avidhya Hit Keen Vivek Deep Maleenâ. Guru ji stressed on imparting quality education to the children. Regarding drug abuse. Guru ji said, âRavidass Madhira Ka Peejiye, Jo Chadhe Chadhe Utraaye, Naam Maharas Peejiye jo Chadhe Nahin Utraayeâ. Swami Ji also stressed for eradication of social evils, drugs abuse & superstitions.
Adding cultural richness to the programme, teachers and students of MKM School, Dera Swami Jagat Giri Ji, presented a cultural programme based on the teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj. Dehati Sabha and the Mahila Wing of Dera Swami Jagat Giri Ji Pathankot felicitated office bearers of SS Trust Sikanderpur and All J&K Satsang Society, including CL Banal (Retd IGP), Er. Paras Ram, Er. Natha Ram, D.D. Shivgotra, Er. B.R. Chadgal, M.L. Banalia, B.R. Banalia, and other trustees.
Several prominent personalities, including Er. R.C. Bhasin, Prof. C.L. Shivgotra, Ex-Minister Yash Pal Kundal, and presidents of various branch sabhas, extended birthday greetings to Swami Ji. Addressing the gathering were representatives from Global Ravidasia Welfare Foundation, MLA Rajouri Iftkar Ahmed, Congress youth leader Neeraj Kundan, and other social leaders.
A medical camp was also organized under the supervision of Dr. C.R. Shivgotra. The proceedings were conducted by Ashok Basson. The celebration concluded with collective prayers, reaffirming commitment to unity, social reform, and spiritual upliftment.
