NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir General Secretary and former Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, today called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Dr. Jitendra Singh, at his office in New Delhi. During the meeting, extensive and meaningful discussions were held on issues related to party organisation, overall development of Jammu & Kashmir, and various important matters concerning public welfare.

Special emphasis was laid on the Union Budget 2026–27 during the discussion. Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria expressed his gratitude to the Central Government and Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi for presenting a people-centric and development-oriented budget. He stated that the budget strongly reflects the spirit of “inclusive development” and has been formulated keeping in mind the needs of all sections of society, including farmers, youth, women, workers, entrepreneurs, and marginalised communities.

Billawaria also discussed in detail the special provisions made for Jammu & Kashmir in the budget. He noted that these provisions would provide a new direction to strengthening infrastructure, generating employment, expanding education and healthcare facilities, and enhancing socio-economic stability in the region. He stressed the need for effective and time-bound implementation of the development schemes included in the budget at the grassroots level, so that their real benefits reach the common people.

The meeting also featured deliberations on various welfare initiatives, including the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G). Billawaria stated that such missions would play a significant role in strengthening the rural economy, promoting self-employment, and providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to the youth. He emphasised the importance of active participation by party workers and public representatives in the successful implementation of these initiatives.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasised the need to further strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots level, underscoring that effective outreach and communication are collective responsibilities. He stated that accurate and timely dissemination of information regarding the Central Government’s welfare schemes to the general public is essential for ensuring maximum public benefit.

Dr. Singh called upon public representatives, senior BJP leaders, and party workers to actively take the key features and people-centric provisions of the Union Budget to the masses, with the objective of accelerating the pace of public service delivery.Highlighting the importance of better coordination and continuous dialogue, Dr. Singh stressed that a strong spirit of service among party workers and public representatives is crucial for effective governance. He expressed confidence that with a robust organisational framework, a clear vision, and people-oriented policies, the Central Government’s schemes would reach the last person in society, thereby making a decisive contribution toward the realisation of the goal of a Developed India.
