JAMMU: Dr. Pabitra Kumar Jena, Assistant Professor at the School of Economics, Faculty of Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, shared his expertise as a resource person during an Indian Council of Social Sciences Research (ICSSR)-sponsored “Two-Week Capacity Building Programme (CBP) for Assistant Professors” during 30 September to 11thOct, 2024.
This course is hosted by the UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre at the Centre for Informal Sector and Labour Studies (CISLS), School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. This programme provided a platform for Dr. Pabitra Kumar Jena to deliver two inclusive lectures on the selection of appropriate statistical tests for data analysis and the interpretation and understanding of logit and probit models. Dr. Jena explored various Parametric and Non-Parametric tests for data analysis during his sessions.
He also demonstrated how Logit and Probit models can measure qualitative variables as dependent variable in multidisciplinary research.
