JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir BJP unit has expelled Shiv Dev Singh from the party for anti-party activities, while Vikas Chaudhary has been appointed in-charge of Marh assembly constituency.
This decision was taken by BJP Working President Satpal Sharma and BJP Organization General Secretary Ashok Kaul taking cognizance of the recommendation made by Recommendation Committee Chairman Sunil Sethi. A statement issued by the party office said that Shivdev Singh's expulsion has come into effect with immediate effect. This step has been taken to strengthen the political position of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir and maintain party discipline there. Vikas Chaudhary has been made in-charge of Marh assembly constituency. The appointment is aimed at further strengthening the activities of BJP in the area.
