• ‘Will reserve 90 % jobs in industrial sector for local youth if elected to Legislative Assembly J&K’

VIJAYPUR: Apni Party’s Contesting Candidate and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has raised concern over alarming unemployment and increasing crime related to drug addiction / drug smuggling in Vijaypur constituency under the patronage of the political influence.

“Your vote to the Apni Party will protect the future of your young generation. I will fight for their rights, their future, development, employment of the local youth, and making the society crime free,” said the Contesting Candidate of the Apni Party, S. Manjit Singh, addressing one of the public meetings in Vijaypur Assembly Constituency.

He said that the crime related activities have increased, and drug addiction has posed a serious threat to the future generation. “The police and administration work as mute spectators because the criminals/drug peddlers are enjoying political patronage,” he said. He asked the people to cast their votes wisely to change the political system that has corrupted the society and has threatened the lives of the families.

“Families have lost their sons, and in some cases, we have witnessed girls have become addicted. The police arrest peddlers, but chain – suppliers (drug lords) remain untraced because they are being allegedly protected by the political parties,” he said. He also highlighted the emerging issue of unprecedented unemployment among the youth and the concerns of not employing the local youth in the industrial sector in Samba District.

“The Govt allotted land to the industrialists so that they could generate employment for the local youth. However, the youth are deprived of jobs. In their place, the non – locals are getting jobs in skilled and unskilled,” he added. He asked the people to support him in the ongoing elections and cast their votes in his favour so that the industrial sector jobs can be reserved for local youth to fight against the increasing unemployment.

He said that he will fight for the rights of the locals, and the non-locals, who have grabbed the resources, will be handed over to the local unemployed youth.

“The development has taken a back set in the last ten years under the BJP controlled bureaucracy, and there was no connection with the people. Under these circumstances, the gap between the people and the Govt has widened because of the unilateral decisions,” he added. He asked the people to vote for a change that would change their lives, and bring development in Vijaypur.
