- Stresses quality execution, timely completion
KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma chaired a meeting to review the execution of the District Capex Plan 2026–27, with focus on ongoing and newly approved works, besides taking stock of projects under the UT Capex. At the outset, the concerned departments briefed the meeting on the progress achieved, expenditure incurred and issues affecting the timely execution of projects.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the physical and financial progress of the ongoing works and assessed the status of new works proposed under the District Capex Budget.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the executing agencies and concerned departments to ensure expeditious implementation of the approved works, adherence to prescribed timelines and optimum utilisation of allocated funds. He stressed the need for close monitoring of works at every stage and timely resolution of bottlenecks to avoid delays.
The meeting also reviewed projects taken up under the UT Capex Budget, with emphasis on ensuring that the works are executed as per approved specifications and schedules. The concerned officers were asked to maintain close coordination with executing agencies and regularly update the status of works.
The DC emphasised that quality, transparency and timely completion should remain the key priorities in the implementation of all development projects. The meeting was attended by ADDC Surender Mohan, Chief Planning Officer Ranjeet Thakur, Assistant Commissioner Development Akhil Sadotra, Executive Engineers and senior officers from various departments.
