JAMMU: Mission Director, Mission Poshan J&K  Kishori Lal Sharma today chaired a review meeting of District Jammu, focusing on the implementation  of Mission Poshan schemes. The meeting was attended by District Programme Officer Pankaj Kumar Anand, all the CDPOs and Supervisors of Poshan Projects of District Jammu.

At the outset, the District Programme Officer (DPO) gave a detailed presentation on use of Poshan Trackerfor effective nutrition services, benefits provided to pregnant and lactating mothers under PMMVY scheme, benefits provided under Ladli Beti scheme, Provision of Creches, Bal Vidhyalas, Status of Expenditure, Recruitment of Sanginis and Sahayikas etc.

The Mission Director emphasized the need for enhanced efficiency in the distribution of nutrition services, ensuring that benefits reach the most vulnerable sections of society, particularly pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children below six year age. He asked for giving special attention to streamlining supply chains, improving data monitoring systems, and strengthening interdepartmental coordination to achieve the Mission goals effectively.

The MD impressed upon all the CDPOs to enhance the registration of   beneficiaries under PMMVY, clear all the pending CAS cases, enhance the registration of   left out children from 0-6 years, maximize the registration of beneficiaries under Ladli Beti conduct frequent visits to   Anganwadi Centres   and ensure timely utilization of funds under all the Schemes. The review meeting concluded with a commitment to accelerating efforts towards reinforcing the vision of Mission POSHAN.
