JAMMU: The Department of Educational Studies at the Central University of Jammu recently celebrated “Kalo-Utsav”, a momentous occasion to acknowledge the achievements of its students. The event was ornamented under the patronage of the Vice-Chancellor Prof.Sanjeev Jain and faculties including the Dean of Student Welfare, Prof. Riu Bakshi, Head of Department, Prof. Asit Mantry, Dr. Kiran, Dr. Aman, Dr. Yad Ram, Dr.Mohan Galgotra, and students and scholars.
The event began with the felicitation of five students who have recently qualified for the prestigious national-level UGC-NET /JRF examination that determines the eligibility for lectureships and research fellowships in Indian universities.
The event highlighted the university's commitment to nurturing academic excellence and research. The Department of Educational Studies has been at the forefront of promoting advanced studies and research, especially in the field of teacher education.
On the occasion of the pre-Deepawali, the students, scholars, and faculties of the Department celebrated by sharing full of love and happiness with each other. The main attractions of this event were food stalls of different Indian cuisines, the best out-of-waste material show, paintings, an art exhibition, etc. This Utsav of Pre-Diwali celebration promises to showcase student talents, creativity, and community experience of learning to live together.
