KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan today inaugurated one-day workshop cum training program for surveyors deployed for the Awaasplus 2.0 survey under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) here in the Conference Hall. The event was organized by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. The training program was aimed to equip 136 surveyors from Gram Panchayats with the necessary skills to conduct surveys using the Awaas Plus Mobile Application.
Master trainers, Imtiyaz Khan and Aqrab Mintoo imparted detailed training to the participants, emphasizing the importance of Aadhaar authentication and adherence to SOPs and exclusion processes. In his inaugural address, the DDC emphasized the importance of conducting fair and transparent surveys, adhering to MoRD guidelines and SOPs. He directed the surveyors to complete the survey before the deadline of March 31, 2025, with emphasis on error-free surveys and inclusion of all eligible households. He also advised the participants to engage in Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G) related activities, solarization, Nasha Mukt, and saturate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at the earliest.
The DDC warned that any wrongdoing or deviation from the guidelines would attract strict disciplinary action. He emphasized the need for surveyors to work diligently and ensure that all eligible households are included in the survey. Earlier, ACD Phulail Singh highlighted the purpose of the training program. He explained that the training is being organized to equip the registered surveyors with the process of survey to be carried out through the Awaas Plus Mobile Application, ensuring Aadhaar authenticated surveys.
The successful implementation of the Awaas Plus 2.0 survey is crucial for the effective implementation of PMAY-G, which aims to provide affordable housing to rural households. The training program is a significant step towards achieving this goal, and the administration is committed to ensuring that the survey is conducted in a fair and transparent manner. The training program included a question-answer session, where the master trainers clarified the doubts of the participants. The program was attended by BDOs, AD (Plg), RDD, AAO ACD office Kishtwar, and other staff members.
