POONCH: The three-day “Mobile Passport Van Camp” organized by the Regional Passport Office Jammu, in collaboration with District Administration Poonch, was inaugurated today at the New College Auditorium Premises. The camp shall continue till May 22, 2026.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma inaugurated the camp in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohammad Sayeed and Deputy Director Employment Abdul Majid, besides officers from various departments.
The officers inspected the arrangements made at the venue and appreciated the coordinated efforts of all stakeholder departments in ensuring smooth conduct of the camp.
The initiative has been launched with the objective of providing passport-related services to the residents of Poonch and adjoining areas at their doorstep, thereby minimizing inconvenience to the public.
The arrangements related to security, sanitation, power supply, internet connectivity, medical assistance, fire and emergency services and public facilitation have been put in place for the successful conduct of the camp.
