District and Sessions Judge Reasi) Khalil Choudhary and the guidance of Secretary Pooja Gupta, a series of legal awareness programmes were held across Reasi district.
An awareness camp was held on Consumer Rights at Government Middle School Neosi by the PLVs of TLSC Mahore. The participants were sensitized to the consumer rights guaranteed under the Consumer Protection Act, including the right to safety, right to information, right to choose, right to be heard and the right to seek redressal against unfair trade practices.
The locals were educated about the Social Welfare Schemes at a camp organized at Panchayat Akhli by the Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of TLSC Katra. The students were acquainted to “Surakshit Bachpan Surakshit Bhavishya” campaign under the JAGRITI Scheme at Government High School Kanjli and LLC High School- Gair Mari by the PLVs of DLSA Reasi
The participants were sensitized to the legal safeguards available for children under different laws including the POCSO Act, Right to Education and child welfare schemes.
The twin programmes witnessed active participation from students, staff members and locals, who appreciated the efforts of DLSA Reasi in promoting awareness regarding child protection and legal rights.
