JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister and senior National Conference leader Surinder Choudhary and Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President Jammu Province today held a public Darbar at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu to listen to the grievances and concerns of the general public. The interactive session witnessed a significant turnout of people from various walks of life, highlighting issues ranging from infrastructure development to basic amenities.
During the Darbar, Surinder Choudhary attentively heard the concerns of the attendees and assured them of swift redressal. He emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference government to address the pressing issues faced by the common people. Choudhary remarked, "The National Conference has always been at the forefront of championing the cause of the people. Under the dynamic leadership of Omar Abdullah, we are dedicated to delivering effective governance and ensuring that public grievances are addressed on priority."
Choudhary highlighted several key initiatives undertaken by the government, including measures to improve road connectivity, strengthen the healthcare system, and promote educational opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir. He also underscored the importance of engaging with the grassroots to identify and resolve problems effectively. "The public Darbar is not just a platform to voice grievances but a reflection of our commitment to participatory governance," Choudhary said. "We believe in creating direct channels of communication between the government and the public to foster trust and accountability."
The Deputy Chief Minister urged the public to remain vigilant against misinformation and assured them of continued efforts to uphold peace, progress, and prosperity in the region. He also encouraged youth participation in development initiatives, calling them the torchbearers of a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir.
Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of the National Conference, lauded the efforts of Omar Abdullah Govt in maintaining a strong connection with the grassroots. He said, "The National Conference has a rich legacy of being the voice of the people. Our party is committed to ensuring that every citizen's concerns are heard and acted upon.
