POONCH: Two impactful teacher training programs aimed at enhancing classroom efficiency and participatory school governance successfully concluded at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Poonch here today. The training sessions, conducted on the directions of SCERT Jammu and under the guidance of DIET Principal Anjali Gupta, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 200 teachers representing 11 educational zones.
The first program focused on the Development of Teacher Resources for Classroom Transactions and Learning Outcomes, coordinated by Muzaffar Hussain. It emphasized equipping educators with innovative strategies and tools to improve classroom interactions and learning results. Participants actively engaged in creating teaching resources tailored to meet diverse student needs, ensuring practical applications in their respective schools.
Simultaneously, the second training program, coordinated by Altaf Hussain, centered on the Creation of School Management and Development Committees (SMC/SMDC). This initiative aimed to strengthen school management through participatory governance. Teachers were trained to draft comprehensive School Development Plans (SDPs), promoting inclusive and sustainable school growth.
The training sessions were enriched by lectures delivered by prominent resource persons, including Hatoon Rathore, Darshan Kumar, Harish Kumar, Balvinder Singh, Ajaz Hussain, Divjot Singh, and Harsimran Singh. These experts provided valuable insights on topics such as effective classroom resource creation, collaborative school governance, and strategies for enhancing learning outcomes.
In her closing address, Principal Anjali Gupta commended the dedication and creativity displayed by the participants. She expressed her confidence that the training would bring transformative changes in classrooms and schools across the district. āThe enthusiasm and innovation demonstrated by our teachers are commendable. I urge all participants to implement their learnings effectively in their schools to ensure lasting impact,ā she said.
