RAMBAN: The 84 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF today organized a free medical camp at the remote Karma village in Ramban district. The camp was inaugurated by Commandant, N Ranbir Singh in the presence of Second-in-Command Vikram Singh, Second-in-Command Arvind Kumar Dixit and Assistant Commandant Roop Ram Meena. The event was attended by large number of locals.
While addressing the gathering, the Commandant said that CRPF, the largest paramilitary force has played an instrumental role in nation-building and safeguarding the unity and integrity of the country. He highlighted various civic action and social outreach programmes undertaken by CRPF across the nation to strengthen the bond between the Force and the local populace. The free medical camp was organised with the objective of providing healthcare services to needy villagers living in remote areas.
More than 300 people, including elderly persons, women and children from Karma village and adjoining areas benefited from the medical camp. The services of Dr Anu Gorke, SMO/DC and Dr Biranmol Singh, AC/MO of 84 Bn CRPF ensured the successful conduct of the camp. Free treatment, medical tests such as ECG, blood and sugar tests, along with medicines were provided to all beneficiaries.
A free first-aid kit box along with basic medicines was also handed over to a prominent citizen and village health worker. The villagers expressed gratitude to 84 Bn CRPF for organising the first free medical camp in their remote village.
