KATHUA: Under the ongoing initiatives of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme for the year 2025–26, the District Industries Centre (DIC) Kathua today organised an Udyam Registration Camp at E Square Hotel, Barnoti.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of General Manager, DIC Kathua, Mushtaq Ahmed Chowdhary and was coordinated by Functional Manager, Pallavi Bhardwaj along with departmental officials including IPO Shivang Gupta, IPO Maskeen Babu, Accountant Narayan Singh and other staff members.

The camp focused on promotion and on-the-spot facilitation of Udyam Registration for MSME units, traders and aspiring entrepreneurs. Industrial unit holders and MSME stakeholders from Barnoti and adjoining areas participated in the programme.

During the session, participants were sensitised about the significance, procedure and benefits of Udyam Registration under the RAMP framework, including access to government incentives, credit facilitation, policy support and formal recognition under the MSME ecosystem.

Awareness was provided regarding procedural requirements and advantages of enterprise formalisation. On-the-spot registration assistance and handholding support were extended to participants to ensure immediate facilitation and prompt redressal of queries.

The initiative aims at strengthening MSME formalisation, enhancing ease of doing business and promoting entrepreneurship in the district. The programme concluded with active participation from stakeholders. The entire team of DIC Kathua reiterated its commitment to continue such outreach activities for effective implementation of MSME development initiatives under RAMP and to facilitate greater formalisation of enterprises in the district.
