JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir BJP President, Sat Sharma CA, has assured that the party supports the OBC community and is committed to the welfare of the community. He was addressing a gathering of the office bearers and members of Swaran Sangh Jammu Province, who had approached him to apprise of their genuine concerns and issues.
Led by Raj Kumar Babbar, President, Jammu Province of the Swarnkar Sangh, they submitted a memorandum to Sat Sharma, mentioning important issue like denial of funds by NC government to the Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of OBCs in the UT, which, according to them, has caused a lot of resentment and discontent among Swarankar community and they are disappointed and angry. They also demanded that the Swarnkar Sangh community should be included in the central list of OBCs. Sunil Prajapati, BJP OBC Morcha president had arranged the meeting of the Swarnkar Sangh with the BJP President.
Sat Sharma CA assured them that the party would take up their issues at the appropriate platforms. He emphasized the party’s unwavering commitment to the socio-economic upliftment of the Other Backward Class (OBC) community under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He lauded the contribution of the OBC community, particularly artisans and goldsmiths, to India’s economic and cultural heritage. He assured the community that the BJP government remains dedicated to their welfare, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns are
addressed.
He said that under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the union government has launched several schemes aimed at empowering the OBC community. From Mudra Yojana to Stand-Up India, various financial initiatives have enabled entrepreneurs and artisans to grow their businesses. The Swarnkar community, known for its craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, has greatly benefited from these programmes,” Sharma stated.
Priya Sethi, NEM & former minister, highlighted BJP’s commitment to providing opportunities, and skill development initiatives tailored for OBC youth. Our aim is to create an inclusive society where every section prospers, she said. Priya Sethi said that Sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas policy of the Modi government itself speaks that every section, every community, is tread equal and all are provided opportunities to grow and prosper and OBCs too are among the beneficiaries of the schemes.
Raj Kumar Babbar expressed gratitude to Sat Sharma for assuring support and praised the BJP government for its pro-poor and pro-OBC policies. He reiterated Swarankar Sangh’s faith in the party’s leadership and pledged to work towards strengthening its mission of national development.
Ajay Vaid, All India Secretary, Swarankar Sangh, recalled the 62 days agitation of 2017 against imposition of 2 per cent excise duty on gold and shared that Arun Jaitley had come forward to provide relief to them by lifting the excise duty. Swarankar Sangh General Secretary Ram Kapoor, Additional General Secretary Lovkesh Gandhi, members Surinder Bhasin, Ashwani Babbar, Rajesh Padam, Vipan Luthra, Jitendra Luthra, Rajan Verma, S. Jagjeet Singh, and others were the part of the deputation.
