AWANTIPORA: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, police in Awantipora have seized 5 vehicles used in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
A Police party of Police Station Khrew headed by SHO PS Khrew Inspector Syed Mubarak seized five vehicles (04 L&Ts) bearing registration numbers NKJ22CLMVMkA00200, 520052420-Ex200 Super, HYNDN 633 HE-0006988, HYNDN 633 CE-0069705 and 01 tippers bearing registration number JK13E-2327, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Khrew, Pampore.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 13/2025 and 14/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Khrew and further investigation have been initiated. J&K Police urge the public to report any such illegal activities by dialling 112. Strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in unlawful mining practices.
