SRINAGAR: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Wing of Gandhi Memorial College Srinagar in collaboration with the College Eco-club today organized a plantation drive within the college campus as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada (Cleanliness Fortnight) initiative. The event was held under the banner of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (A Tree in Mother's Name), a nationwide campaign aimed at honoring mothers while promoting environmental conservation.

Principal of the college, Prof. Aijaz Ahmad Hakak, inaugurated the drive by planting the sapling, setting an example for the students and staff. The event saw enthusiastic participation from a significant number of NSS volunteers and Eco-club members, highlighting the growing environmental awareness among the college community.
