JAMMU: Responding to the call of the "Swadeshi Pledge" under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission" (Self-Reliant India Mission), Balbir Ram Rattan proudly pledged to use indigenous products in his life and to inspire fellow citizens to do the same.

Balbir Ram Rattan, BJP Spokesperson and former Vice Chairman, made this pledge in service and honour of Maa Bharti, committing to prioritize Indian-made products in his daily life and to choose indigenous alternatives over foreign goods. He stated that this is an important step toward building a self-reliant India, which will not only strengthen the country’s economy but also support local artisans, farmers, and small industries.

To formalize his commitment, he filled out the "Swadeshi Pledge" form and declared that he would give preference to Indian products at home, in the workplace, and within society. He also pledged to support villages, farmers, and craftsmen, and contribute to the promotion of local industries.

Balbir Ram Rattan also pledged to encourage youth and children to embrace Swadeshi, so that future generations understand the importance of self-reliance and indigenous values. Balbir also pledged to promote the use of Indian languages within his family and community. He also vowed to remain environmentally conscious, use Swadeshi and eco-friendly products, and prioritize visiting Indian tourist destinations.

Balbir’s pledge is not just a personal decision—it is an inspiring step toward a self-reliant India, aimed at encouraging fellow citizens to connect with the spirit of "Vocal for Local."
