POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, conducted a visit today to the Water Supply Schemes (WSS) in Kankote and Kojra Bandichechian to assess progress and implementation. During his visit to WSS Kankote, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti to ensure that every household receives a reliable water supply. He emphasized the importance of addressing community needs promptly.

At the upcoming WSS Kojra Bandichechian, currently under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), the Deputy Commissioner noted that a borewell had already been drilled. He instructed the Executive Engineer to install the necessary pumping machinery within 15 days and expedite the commissioning of the water supply scheme. This includes ensuring the installation of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) for every household to enhance access to clean water.
