POONCH: District Development Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today conducted a public outreach programme at Loran Sultan Pathri, interacting with local residents, Panchayat representatives and public delegations to take stock of developmental issues and public concerns.
Participants highlighted issues related to development, civic amenities, infrastructure, education, road connectivity, public services and other local needs. The DDC heard the grievances and assured the public that all genuine issues would be taken up with the departments concerned for timely redressal as per government norms. Former DDC Member Riaz Naaz also interacted with the public and highlighted developmental priorities of the area.
The Chief Horticulture Officer delivered an awareness lecture on government schemes implemented by the Horticulture Department, encouraging farmers and unemployed youth to avail themselves of these initiatives for sustainable livelihood and income generation. The DDC also highlighted the benefits of various Agriculture and Horticulture Department schemes and announced that a special awareness camp would soon be organised in the area.
Among those present were Assistant Commissioner Development Shakeel Ahmed Malik, Deputy Director Employment Abdul Majid, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Block Development Officer Loran Asaf Ali, Executive Engineers Jal Shakti and PWD (R&B), Tehsildar Mandi Ashfaq Hussain and Assistant Director FCS&CA, besides other district and sectoral officers.
