DODA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Krishan Lal today chaired a meeting of the District Rent Assessment Committee to review and assess rent fixation cases pertaining to government-hired accommodations and office spaces across the district.
The committee took up a total of 19 cases for consideration. Each case was examined in detail with reference to the prescribed norms, prevailing rates, location, nature of the accommodation and other relevant parameters. After detailed scrutiny and deliberations, 17 rent assessment cases were approved by the committee.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and uniformity in the rent assessment process. He directed the concerned departments to ensure that all rent assessment cases are submitted with complete requisite documents and proper justification for timely processing and disposal.
The meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineer, PWD (R&B); Chief Planning Officer; Assistant Commissioner Revenue; Additional Superintendent of Police; Chief Medical Officer; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, other concerned officers and officials, besides the house owners associated with the rent assessment cases.
