KULGAM: Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kulgam, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, today inaugurated a newly constructed three-storey 10 rooms academic block at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Hanger, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.43 crores.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by the ACD, Bilal Ahmad Kamgar, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kulgam, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Exen R&B, Fayaz Ahmad Kar, Principal of GHSS Hanger, Masroor Ahmad Ganie, other officers, dignitaries, teachers and students of the institute.
Speaking on the occasion, M. Y. Tarigami underscored the vital role of upgraded public infrastructure in fostering quality education. He noted that equipping government institutions with modern, spacious classrooms is essential for creating a conducive learning environment for local youth and preparing them for future challenges.
"Our children are talented, but they need a proper environment to learn,to dream and to compete.If we want quality education, we must first give quality infrastructure to our public institutions", said the MLA.
Chief Education Officer Kulgam commended the execution of the project, highlighting that the additional multi-storey facility will significantly address space constraints, accommodate growing enrollments, and support diverse curricular and co-curricular activities.
