REASI: A series of activities under the ongoing Sewa Parv were carried out in District Reasi on the 12th day of the celebrations, under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik.

The Municipal Council (MC) Reasi organized a cleanliness and plantation drive near Kambal Danga, with active participation from a local women-led Self Help Group, reaffirming community involvement in the campaign.

The Rural Development Department (RDD) initiated a special drive against single-use plastic, while also spreading awareness among the public regarding dung management and vermi-composting practices to promote sustainable living.

Meanwhile, at the Bus Stand Market, a dedicated PM-SVANidhi awareness drive was held to educate street vendors about government benefits. Awareness was also spread about Angikaar under PMAY 2.0 and door-to-door waste segregation.

Adding a creative touch, an awareness session was conducted with ā€œKarate Kidsā€ at Zanana Park, where students were sensitized about the importance of keeping their surroundings clean and plastic-free.

In addition, several other departments actively contributed to the Sewa Parv by organizing awareness and community-centric activities in their respective domains, making the day’s observance vibrant and impactful. The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to continue such activities, ensuring that the spirit of Sewa Parv reaches every corner of Reasi.
