JAMMU: In order to promote awareness about the national language in the government institutions, CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, successfully organized one day Hindi Workshop in Dr. C.K. Atal Auditorium here today. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM.
The workshop aimed to foster a deeper connection and knowledge of Hindi and enhance the linguistic skills of its staff and other stakeholders. The workshop marked another significant step in CSIR-IIIMâs commitment to exercising Hindi in official, academic, and day-to-day work of the institution.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM, emphasized the importance of Hindi as a medium to bridge diverse communities and enhance inclusivity in professional and academic domains. Further, Dr. Ahmed reiterated CSIR-IIIMâs dedication to integrating Hindi into day-to-day operations and encouraged all attendees to actively participate in such initiatives.
Prof. (Dr.) Rajni Bala, HoD, Department of Hindi, University of Jammu, graced the occasion as the key note speaker. Her enlightening session on "à€à€ à€à„ à€Šà„à€° à€źà„à€ à€čà€żà€šà„à€Šà„ à€à€Ÿ à€”à€°à„à€à€žà„à€”" delved into the growing prominence of Hindi on global platforms. She highlighted how Hindi not only serves as a unifying language within India but also holds immense potential to connect with audiences worldwide. Her lecture was thought-provoking, inspiring the audience to appreciate the richness and adaptability of the language in todayâs dynamic world.
The workshop featured active participation from staff, students, and other stakeholders of CSIR-IIIM, who engaged enthusiastically in discussions and activities designed to enhance their understanding of Hindi. The interactive format of the workshop made it a vibrant learning experience for everyone.
Pertinently, CSIR-IIIM also conducted various competitions as part of the celebrations of Hindi Diwas held from 17th to 23rd September, 2024. To felicitate the winners of these competitions, today on this occasion, first, second, third and consolation prizes were distributed among the 32 participants including staff members and students of RRL High School. Besides this, 21 staff members who were successfully qualified for the Hindi Training Program conducted by the Department of Official Languages, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, were also given cash prizes and certificates.
The formal vote of thanks presented by Sanjay Sharma, Hindi Officer, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries and all participants for their contributions to making the workshop a resounding success while coordinated by Rajni kumari, Section Officer, Store and Purchase Divison.
