JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Sham Lal Sharma, Vice-President J&K BJP and MLA, along with Mohan Lal Bhagat, MLA, held a Public Darbar at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The public darbar witnessed active participation from the public, as nearly two dozen deputations from Jammu city and surrounding areas turned up to present their grievances and requests.
The deputations represented various segments of society, and raised issues related to essential services such as Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD), Revenue Department, and Police, along with concerns over road conditions, water scarcity, electricity supply, and administrative delays in documentation and public schemes.
Listening patiently to each deputation, Sham Lal Sharma assured the people that their concerns would be forwarded to the concerned authorities and followed up rigorously. He said, “Public outreach is the soul of a responsive democracy. Our government and party are committed to providing solutions, not just hearing complaints. Every issue raised today will be taken seriously and addressed on priority.”
Mohan Lal Bhagat also emphasized the BJP’s commitment to grassroots engagement. He remarked, “People’s issues are our issues. We are working tirelessly to ensure the last person in the line is heard and helped. This Public Darbar is not just a platform for grievances, but for building trust and accountability.” Both leaders reiterated that BJP’s focus remains on good governance, transparency, and people-first politics. They communicated with the concerned department officials both via oral and written media and pressed for the immediate redressal of the public issues.
