GANDERBAL: The Department of English, School of Languages, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir), is organising a two-day National Conference on "Indian Ethos in English Writings" (IEEW2024), from 24th of October, 2024. The event will provide an engaging platform for scholars and researchers to delve into the Indian culture and English literature, highlighting the influence of Indian ethos on English writings.
Prof. S.P. Bansal, Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh will be the Chief Guest on the occasion and Shri. Guntha Laxmanji, a distinguished figure from IKS and ABRSM, will be the Guest of Honour. The inaugural session will be presided over by Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Kashmir, who serves as the Patron of the conference.
About 90 scholarly paper presentations from participants representing 18 states across India, offering diverse perspectives on the theme, will be presented. The event also includes four plenary talks by leading experts in the field. The conference will be conducted in a hybrid mode (both online and offline), making it accessible to a wide audience of scholars and enthusiasts.
The event is being organised under the leadership of Prof. Sandhya Tiwari, Chairperson of the Conference, Head, Department of English, and Dean, School of Languages, Central University of Kashmir.
