JAMMU: A delegation from Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust met with the Jammu and Kashmir BJP State President, Mr. Sat Sharma, at his residence today. The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss the promotion and innovation of Devavani Sanskrit across the region.
On this occasion, Mr. Sat Sharma lauded the efforts of the Trust, stating that Sanskrit is not merely a language but the foundation of Indian culture, knowledge, science, and tradition. He further emphasized that in today’s time, spreading Sanskrit among the masses is our cultural responsibility, and such efforts help society reconnect with its roots.
During the meeting, senior trustee of the Trust, Mr. R. K. Chhibber, shared details of the ongoing initiatives undertaken by the Trust. He informed that the Trust is continuously working across the Union Territory to promote Vedic traditions, Jyotish Shastra (astrology), Sanskrit education, and religious-cultural values. He added that the Trust regularly organizes research seminars, Sanskrit camps, youth workshops, and Devavani promotion programs.
Trust advisor Mr. Pramod Sharma informed that the upcoming Sanskrit Month will soon be inaugurated, during which various programs will be conducted throughout the region. These will include Sanskrit recitation competitions, Sanskrit plays, verse-dialogues, grammar workshops, promotional campaigns in schools, anti-drug rallies, sessions on cybercrime awareness, and lectures by scholars. He remarked that this month will serve as a powerful medium to connect not just students, but the general public as well, with the sacred language Sanskrit.
Prominent members of the Trust present on this occasion included Dr. Vishva Gupta, Mr. M. L. Verma, Mr. Ravi Gupta, Mr. Mohit Gupta, among other dignitaries. Through the ongoing efforts of the Shri Kailakh Jyotish avUm Vedic Sansthan Trust, Devavani Sanskrit is gaining new momentum and public recognition in Jammu and Kashmir, symbolizing a cultural renaissance rooted in Indian heritage.
