JAMMU: With an overwhelming display of faith and unity, Senior BJP Leader and J&K BJP Vice President Aseem Gupta today flagged off the revered Chitto Mata Yatra from Digiana, Jammu, as hundreds of devotees chanted bhajans and waved saffron flags in reverence. The spiritually significant journey will lead devotees to the sacred shrine of Chitto Mata in Paddar, Kishtwar. The yatra saw participation from over 1500 devotees, making it one of the most enthusiastic starts in recent years.
The event was graced by the presence of SP South Ajay Sharma, Advocate Tarun Sharma, Former District President Sat Pal Choudhary, Rajesh Sharma, and Ashwini Khajuria, all of whom extended their greetings and support to the devotees. Special appreciation was extended to the Jammu & Kashmir Police and civil administration for their efforts in ensuring seamless arrangements and tight security, ensuring a peaceful and spiritually uplifting beginning to the yatra.
Addressing the gathering, Aseem Gupta said, āThis yatra is a divine expression of our rich cultural legacy and religious devotion. It is not only a spiritual journey but also a reflection of the deep-rooted cultural unity of our people. The Chitto Mata Yatra revives the collective soul of Jammu and Kashmir, symbolizing peace, strength, and spiritual identity.ā He emphasized that such pilgrimages serve as bridges between generations, and are instrumental in promoting āsanskriti, sanskaar aur samriddhi.ā
He further added, āUnder the visionary leadership of Honāble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir is moving steadily on the path of peace, prosperity, and spiritual resurgence. Whether itās the Amarnath Yatra, Machail Mata, or Chitto Mata Yatra, the focus is on holistic development ā spiritual, infrastructural, and economic. Pilgrimages are now becoming symbols of unity and engines of regional growth.ā
Aseem Gupta praised the participation of the youth, women, and elderly alike, calling it a beautiful representation of āBhakti, Bharat aur Bharosa.ā He said, āThe devotion in the hearts of these yatris is the true heartbeat of Jammu. When the youth walk with tilak on their forehead and the name of Maa on their lips, it shows that our spiritual roots are deep and strong.ā
He also extended heartfelt gratitude to SP South Ajay Sharma, Advocate Tarun Sharma, and other officials for their cooperation, and assured that BJP will always stand by efforts that promote religious freedom, cultural values, and harmony in Jammu & Kashmir. Concluding his address, Gupta prayed that Maa Chitto bless every household with good health, happiness, and harmony, and urged the devotees to be ambassadors of peace and brotherhood during the pilgrimage.
