JAMMU: Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services J&K Jammu, in collaboration with People’s Hut Foundation and with support of Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity, organised a Day long medical camp here today at the Headquarters of Fire and Emergency Services Gandhi Nagar to provide essential medical check-ups and medicines to the Jawans, local population, particularly elders, women, and children.
The camp was held as a part of ongoing Fire Service Week activity and under the "Mobile Health Clinic Program" of the People’s Hut Foundation aimed at providing healthcare accessibility to citizens in the country, specifically J&K.
Director Fire and Emergency Services J&K (ADGP) Alok Kumar inaugurated the Camp. He appreciated the coordinated efforts of R.K Raina, Deputy Director Fire and Emergency Services and Dr. Manju, Medical Officer Gandhinagar Hqrs F&ES Jammu and Kanwal Peshin Divisional Fire Officer for making it grand and result oriented.
A total of 218 Patients were treated in the camp and diagnostic services were availed by 184 Patients. The initiative was widely appreciated by the communities, reinforcing the positive impact of such outreach programs on the lives of the people in J&K.
The Ayush Department also rendered its services in the camp under the guidance of Director Ayush J&K Dr. Nuzhat Bashir Shah. The services provided to patients included Diagnostic tests, Ortho and Physiotherapy treatment and Eye Testing and Screening.
Similar Camp was organised at Batmaloo Hqrs Srinagar under the supervision of Medical Officer Dr Abrar in which a large section of patients including local families participated.
