JAMMU: Welcoming the order issued by the government to relax the age limit for enrolling children in class 1, President of Parents Association Jammu Amit Kapoor expressed gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Education Minister Sakina Itoo  for this. Along with this, he also thanked the parents and young children who participated enthusiastically in the struggle for this and congratulated them.

Addressing a press conference in Jammu, President of Parents Association Jammu Amit Kapoor called this order issued by the government a victory of the struggle led by parents and young children under his leadership. He said that finally LG Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Education Minister Sakina Itoo, keeping in mind the future of the children and understanding the seriousness of the matter, have decided to give age relaxation to the children in the enroll for admission in the first class.

Amit Kapoor said that this has definitely saved one year of the children from being wasted. Let us tell you that under the new education policy, the age of the child for admission in the first class has been fixed at 6 years. At the same time, there were many children among the children in the enroll whose age was less than 6 years, so for age relaxation, the parents along with the affected children under the leadership of Amit Kapoor have been protesting continuously for the last several days and also informed the senior officials about it.

After this, understanding the seriousness of the matter, the government led by LG Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Education Minister Sakina Itoo  has issued an order to give age relaxation to save one year of the children, which is a commendable step. Amit Kapoor said that earlier also, after the struggle of parents twice, the LG administration had issued orders for relaxation in age for children in enrollment and now this order has been issued for the third time which is the result of their struggle and for this, those parents who came out of their homes to protest on the streets are really worthy of congratulations.

Amit Kapoor said that those parents should also learn a lesson from them and come forward to raise their voice against the looting of private schools whether it is a matter of buses, uniforms or arbitrary fees. Amit Kapoor has requested the government to issue orders for children of 5 plus age limit so that those who are left out can also benefit from it.

At the same time, Amit Kapoor has appealed to all the parents to come forward to raise their voice against the arbitrariness of private schools and for this, he will do whatever cooperation he can so that parents can be saved from being looted by private schools.
