JAMMU: The Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust (Regd.) organised 'Holi Milan' program in Ward No. 56 Gangyal of Jammu city. The program was presided over by the Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust President Rajiv Sharma, while former Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria attended the program as the chief guest.
During the Holi Milan Program, the most special thing about that instead of water and chemical colors, Holi was played with flowers and gulaal. In the program, everyone danced and sang, played holi by doing a Gulal tilak to each other and showered flowers and wished Holi. Speaking on the occasion, former Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the festival of Holi celebrated in an atmosphere of joy strengthens the feeling of social harmony and unity.
He said that this important festival of our Indian Sanatan culture gives the message of love, harmony and brotherhood. Billawaria said that this festival should bring more happiness, peace and good health in the lives of all of us by filling the colors of prosperity and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
Praising the president of Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust and his team, Billawaria said that the message of saving water given by the trust to the people by organising Holi Milan program with 'Pushp Varsha' is a commendable step. He further said that this initiative not only took a step towards protecting the environment but also gave a strong message of water conservation.
In his address, president of trust, Rajiv Sharma highlighted the major works done by the Dogra Sewa Sambhal trust in the past years. He said that at present the need for conservation of religion and culture is very important and said that through these events we get a chance to connect with our culture and traditions. The Holi Milan program was conducted by Dr. Kuldeep Gupta while people who made outstanding contributions in social work were honored by giving mementos by Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust.
