DODA: A free eye-checkup and treatment camp was inaugurated today at Associated Hospital (OPD Block), GMC Doda, by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh, and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Kumar Mehta.
The camp, organized by Ahmed Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, witnessed active participation from healthcare professionals and administrative officials. Principal GMC, Medical Superintendent GMC Hospital, District Immunization Officer and other senior doctors and staff were present at the event to ensure the smooth functioning of the camp.
The DC Doda emphasized the significance of such initiatives to enhance healthcare accessibility for the public, particularly in rural areas. The SSP lauded the collaborative efforts of Ahmed Foundation and the health department, noting their commitment to improving eye care services for the community. The camp provides free eye examinations, consultations, and treatment for various eye-related conditions. This initiative is expected to benefit hundreds of residents, ensuring timely intervention for vision-related issues.
