SHOPIAN: On the eve of International Women’s Day, a Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Awareness Cum Screening Drive was successfully conducted at Ayush Health and Wellness Centre (AHWC) Keegam and AHWC Trenz. The drive was organised on the directions of Director Ayush J&K, Dr Nuzhat Bashir Shah and under the guidance of District Nodal Officer Ayush Shopian, Dr Javaid Ahmad Wani.
It aimed to raise awareness about non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and other lifestyle-related conditions, ensuring early detection and preventive care. Women from the local community participated actively in the screening and awareness sessions. The initiative emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups, lifestyle modifications, and early intervention to combat NCDs effectively.
