RAJOURI: A medical camp was organised at village Garan in Block Kalakote under the directions of District Development Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma.
The camp was organised following a review meeting chaired by the DDC with the Health Department Rajouri, wherein Mobile Medical Unit vehicles were directed to remain stationed for one week in all six blocks of the district, with each block organising week-long medical camps in far-flung and underserved villages.
Doctors examined and treated more than 176 patients at the camp. Free medicines were distributed, laboratory tests were conducted and X-rays were performed using a hand-held portable X-ray machine under the ongoing 100 Days TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Among those supervising the camp were Director Health Services Jammu Dr Poonam Sethi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalakote Mohd Tanwir, Chief Medical Officer Rajouri Dr Manohar Rana and Block Medical Officer Kalakote Dr Iqbal Malik.
