JAMMU: Preserving art, culture and language, the artists of "Kashir Kalakaar Season-7" mesmerised audience with their stunning performances at Invitation Banquet Hall Roop Nagar Jammu, here today.The grand finale of this musical gala was organised by the "Athrot Cultural Foundation" and was supported by "Kashmiri Pandit Volunteers" "People’s Hut Foundation", "Martand KP Brigade" and "Sabhar Cultural and welfare trust". Dr. Arvind Karwani Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants J&K, was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Senior Community activist Moti Lal Malla, Swami Kumar Ji, Dr .Ramesh Hangloo, Prof Virender Rawal, Ashinder Koul, AK Raina and MK Yogi were the Guest of Honour besides special guests Kirti Dhar, Desha Bhat Vikram Koul, Arvin Tickoo, Pankaj Bhawani, Muktesh Yogi, Dr Rohit Koul and Aditya Tickoo were also present during the welcome of VVIPs.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Arvind Karwani lavished praise on "Athrot Cultural Foundation" for organising such events in a befitting manner and preserving Kashmiri Pandit culture even in exile. He said that the social activists like Kanwal Peshin serve as beacon lights to guide and guide young artists, culturists in preserving rich Kashmiri culture.
Quoting the example of legendary Vijay Malla ji Karwani said that all the participating artists possess all that is required to blossom at the higher levels like iconic Sursamrat Vijay Malla. He advised the artists to love what they do and marry to the field they choose, which he termed is the only ‘mantra’ for success and excellence. Swami Kumar ji presided over the function and blessed the children and organisers for commendable services
Earlier, the ceremonial welcome was done by hosts Dr Rohit Koul - Director and CEO of People's Hut Foundation, Kanwal Peshin and Muktesh Yogi along with Special Guests, Shanti Lal Sidha Dr Ramesh Nirash and Roshan Pandita, which was followed by welcome address by Abhimanyu Peshin
Meanwhile, in Mini Junior (Singing) Vanshika Kaw got Ist and Naisha Bhat got 2nd Prize third prize was bagged by Deepak Sharma trophies and Kenzi Khoas besides Cash Prize from Hindu Society were distributed among winners. In senior (Singing) category, Nirmit Raina was declared 1st, Shruti and Daksh were adjudged second, Lavanya and Suhas Koul got third prize.The Chief Guest and other dignitaries honoured the winners and runners-up artists in various categories.
Apart from trophies and certificates, the winners were honoured by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries with cash awards and scholarships from Hindu Society LA, additional cash award of Rs 3000, 2000 and 1000 was presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders respectively to audience choice award winners. As an encouragement to these young community kids an amount of Rs. 5000 was given by Kirti Dhar from Shine India JK . The event was adjudicated by a panel of experts including Dr.Ramesh Nirash and Sandeep Koul Sunny who himself presented a wonderful song "Assi Chi Kunni Awaz" with Children as a special performance and message to the community.
The event was held under the overall supervision of Athrot team headed by Abhimanyu Peshin, Deeraj Pandit and Ayush Bhat. Arvin Tickoo, Pranav Pandita, Vikram Koul ,Dr Rohit Koul, Aditya Tickoo, Muktesh Yogi, Pankaj Bhawani were felicitated during the event . Pranav Pandita was the chief coordinator and Pankaj Bhawani presented the vote of thanks, while the proceedings of the programme were conducted by famous anchor PK Rain who is a philanthropist and a community icon. The jam packed Invitation Banquet Hall praised the organisers with standing ovations at 3 stages.
